Mind your language on Eagles, Ladipo tells Nigerians

By Solomon Nwoke
PRESIDENT General of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC), Dr Rafiu Ladipo, has urged Nigerian football fans to show some love and believe in the Nigerian ambassadors to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, the Super Eagles in order  for them to show their potentials.

Dr Ladipo in a chat said the team would qualify from their Group B which also has Argentina, Greece and South Korea.

He said,“Mark my words, Nigeria will not crash out at the preliminary stage of the tournament, not withstanding the good teams in our group.

In as much as we know that two teams will qualify from the group for the second round of the championship. I am sure Nigeria and any other team will qualify from that group”.

He charged Nigerians to stop making cynical comments against the Eagle, but rather, be positive and proud of their national team.

“We have good and determined players that can represent us well in South Africa but some of our comments we make about them regarding the World Cup are not encouraging. We should remain positive in our comments and that will motivate the players. Let them believe in themselves and the country through our comments,” said Ladipo
He said that NFSC would have a massive presence in South Africa to support the Super Eagles.

“We are going to South Africa with nothing less than 3,000 supporters from within the country and our members living outside Nigeria. It’s going to be total support for the Super Eagles; Nigeria’s supporters’ stand in South Africa will be a major attraction during any of our matches,’’ he said.
