A 20 -year- old man, Ezekiel Emmanuel, has been arraigned before a Makurdi Magistrate Court for allegedly shooting two of his friends to death in Wadata area of Makurdi town.
The suspect was alleged to have shot his two victims at the heat of an argument which ensued following a disagreement over the sharing of some money.
According to the First Information Report (FIR) filed by prosecution, the accused shot the deceased, Hassan Kabir and Aba Idris all of the same address on their chests and escaped.
The victims were said to have been rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Makurdi where they eventually gave up the ghost before medical attention was extended to them.
The incident was however reported at the â€˜Aâ€™ Division of the Makurdi Police by one Tijani Suleman prompting a manhunt for the fleeing suspect who was eventually apprehended by the police.
The police also confirmed that the evidence before it and confessional statement made by the suspect pointed to the fact that he willfully committed the odious act.
