Lagos establishes 100 IT laboratories

Over 100 public schools in Lagos State have been fully equipped with information communication technology laboratories in the last three years by the state government.

 The state commissioner for science and technology, Dr Kadiri Hamzat, said each laboratory has been provided with computers, printers, generators, educational materials which are VSAT installed and activated.

Commending the support received from corporate entities and individuals, Hamzat said government will continue to strive to increase the number of such laboratories made available to schools, adding that in order to meet up with the developmental challenges and in continued effort to improve service delivery in all areas of governance, Governor Fashola approved the restructuring of the computer resources centers to provide a full fledge IT Unit in each ministry.
