INDUSTRY Chiefs have eulogised the late Chief Akin George for hisÂ virtues, lamenting that he would be greatly missed in the manufacturing and insurance sector.
Chief J. Akin_George died recently at the age of 78. He was Chairman, J. Akin_George & Co. Ltd., Incorporated Insurance Brokers, Akin_George Life & Pension Consultants, Multimalt Ltd., JKN Ltd., and Vice_President of Ecobank Transactional Incorporated (ETI), and the current President of African Insurance Brokers Association, Federation of West African Chambers of Commerce, NACCIMA, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Rotary Club of Lagos, among others.
According to Chief John Odeyemi, the deceased industrialist was the pillar behind most companies in the real sector as well as the financial sectors of the economy.
â€œAkin George was an elder brother from whom most of us learnt from his style of leadership and management skills,â€ said Odeyemi.
â€œ The young entrepreneur needs somebody like him to emulate and guide to a successful business,â€ said Chief Lai Olumegbon.
