*Militant kingpin, ‘Udemegun’ claims responsibility
WARRI – AN explosion rocked the home of the Executive Director of Finance and Administration, Niger-Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Pastor Power Aginighan at the Delta Steel Company (DSC) housing estate in Warri, Delta state on Wednesday night.
The house of a serving commissioner in the state, Hon Frank Omare, located at Apala Street in Warri was also said to have been bombed, but, Vanguard could not authenticate the information at press time.
Militant kingpin and bomb specialist, who styles himself as “Udemegun†of Niger-Delta, the same person that carried out the explosion at the NDDC office in Warri, about a fortnight ago, which the police debunked, Wednesday, claimed responsibility for the two explosions.
But when Vanguard contacted the Delta State Police Command spokesman, Charles Muka, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), he debunked the claim that there was bomb blasts in Warri, saying that some management officials of DSC were on a visit to Command’s office at Asaba and said there was no such incident reported by them.
