Fashola commissions NB’s new brew house

LAGOS — Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State yesterday commissioned the new Nigerian Breweries ultra modern brew house.

The new Brew House which is part of Nigerian Breweries optimization and capacity expansion initiatives takes the capacity of Lagos Brewery to 2.5 million hectolitres (approximately 35 million carton units) of Nigerian Breweries brands.

The Governor who was represented by the Lagos State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Prince Adeniyi Oyemade, commended NB  for maintaining its leadership qualities in the midst of harsh economic realities.

“Nigerian Breweries Plc is a monument to efficiency, a testament to management decisiveness and diligence as well as depth of proactive corporate policy. At a time that many business entities are shrinking, downsizing and folding up in the face of the global financial crisis, NB Plc is not only standing strong, it is going strong and reliably so,” the governor said.
