Consolidated Hallmark Insurance has sealed its collaboration with three banks to avail its teeming clients and prospective customers’ easy access to its array of products.

The banks are: Zenith Bank, Intercontinental Bank, and Fidelity Bank. The insurance company which is making use of Interswitch enabled online access for the generation of the compulsory third party insurance for motor vehicles has now taken the products to the banking halls of the three banks.

The collaborations will enable Consolidated Hallmark Insurance avail its products in all the banks’ branch offices nation-wide for the convenience of their customers and non customers alike. The service enables a motorist to walk up to the counter in a banking hall of any of the banks, effect payment and obtain a certificate of motor insurance.

According to the managing director of the company, Mr. Eddie Efekoha, Consolidated Hallmark embarked on the arrangement with the banks in view of the need to bring the insurance cover within easy reach of Nigerians by taking advantage of the branch network of the banks. He said this has also become necessary in view of the widespread counterfeiting of insurance certificates by some unscrupulous individuals.

According to him, “We flagged off the motor third party online, which is a channel we evolved to sell motor insurance to the insuring public. We realised that we are in the age of technology and Nigeria is fast embracing Information Technology, we saw that convenience is a broad issue of purchasing insurance services and that was why we went all out to develop that channel, we went round presenting it to all the major stakeholders in the market, today, it has done well, it could do better”

“I say so because a lot of the people who we are targeting do not even have a computer and printer at home, when they do, power supply is not there. We planned to solve the problem for people who don‘t have time to procure their insurance policies. When they get home, within ten, fifteen minutes on the computer, they can purchase their motor insurance”

Consolidated hallmark chief at this juncture implored Nigerians to take advantage of the platform as it not only guarantees a genuine source for their motor insurance cover, but also provides the statutory protection of up to N1 million to motorists for any liability that they may incur against third parties in the course of usage of their vehicles.
