SWAP Technologies wins award

SWAP Technologies & Telecoms Plc. has been awarded the Best Managed Services of the Year.
A statement signed by the Head Corporate Services, Mr. Ilozavbie Ehize and made available to Saturday Vanguard Business said the company will continue to deliver world class quality services to its customers despite the challenges in the industry and globally.

“ SWAP, with over 200 to its managed services credit, and operation sites in Lagos Nigeria,  Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire has since commencement of its operations, metamorphosed into an entity to be reckoned with in the telecoms  industry in West Africa as a leading co-location and infrastructure sharing company.

He said, the award ceremony was graced with the presence of the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) and other notable dignitaries in the communications industry.

SWAP has maintained standard and prompt delivery to its clientele, a hallmark which it jealously guards, he said.
In addition, the Managing Director /Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Tunde Titilayo said that “beyond the global economic crises, SWAP is taking bold steps to increase the coverage and tele-density of  the country, employing strategies that would reduce the operating expenses (OPEX) and CAPEX of our various clients like MTN, Zain, Starcomms, Zoom, IPNX, DOPC, amongst others with reduced service charge, therefore enabling direction of their scarce resources to expansion of their network base coverage.”

He noted that the award would serve as a further impetus to remain the telecom infrastructure company of  choice to its partners both existing and prospective ones in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The statement further stressed that the company,which launched into the co-location and infrastructure management services over a year ago has for the second year in row been awarded the Best Managed Services Company of the Year.
The company was awarded the Best Managed Services Company of the Year, 2009 at the Nigerian Technology and Telecomms Award (NITTA), 2009.
