ABUJA—THE Coast appears clearer yesterday for the return of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to the fold of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, following the order by the leadership of the party that he should be registered along with his associates across the country.
This was part of the resolutions reached at yesterday’s meeting of the National Working Committee, NWC of the party.
Confirming the decision of the leadership of the party, the National Vice Chairman, North East, Senator Paul Wampana said it was part of the resolutions reached at yesterday’s meeting, just as he stressed that the party directed that those above eighteen years be registered in Adamawa State in particular.
It would be recalled that as part of moves to formalize his dumping of the Action Congress for the PDP, the former Vice President had last week stormed the national Secretariat of the party to formally intimate the party’s National Chairman, Prince Vincent Ogbulafor of his return to the PDP fold.
Also last week, the Adamawa State Governor, Admiral Murtala Nyako, rtd, Senators Jubril Aminu, Grace Bent, Hon. Binta Garba, among others visited the PDP national Chairman.
