N63m fraud at Ondo poly

THE Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, may be invited to unravel the over N63million alleged fraud in Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Ondo State .

Addressing a press conference in Akure on the fraud in Akure weekend, the Acting Rector of the Institution, Dr Soji Omowole, absolved workers of the polytechnic of any complicity in the fraud and vowed that the institution would get to the root of the matter.

Dr Omowole said the illegal withdrawal of the amount in the custody of First Bank Owo is been investigated by independent enquiries, the institutions external auditors and the Police in the state.
