MINNA — More facts have emerged on why former military President, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, is warning up to rule the country again.

National coordinator of Nationalists Movement, a group raised to actualise the dream of the presidential hopeful, Alhaji Nma Kolo, told journalists in Minna, yesterday, that the main aim of IBB is to return the country back to its glorious days of economic boom and respect among the comity of nations.

According to him, Babangida is particularly determined to rescue the country from its present socio-economic backwardness.

“We are at a cross road in this country now and we need somebody like IBB to rescue us, revive our economy, make our country walk tall again among the comity of nations with flourishing economy, religious harmony and political stability,” the chief campaigner  stressed.

Kolo reminded Nigerians that the former military President had done it before, pointing out that his tenure recorded economic prosperity and global popularity for the country.

He called on all Nigerians to do away with sentiments and shun those who see nothing good in the former president than the over-flogged issue of June 12 saying, “let us discard with the ranting of those who have taken hatred for Babangida as a profession and are living by it, yet offer no credible alternative solutions to the plethora of problems that have plagued this country since 1993 when he left office.”

Kolo described the Nationalists  Movement Group as men of high integrity and pedigree whose aim is to help the former President actualise his dream in order to make Nigeria great again.

He said as at now, the group cut across the six geo-political zones of the country and abroad and is ready to carry out the campaign to every parts of the country.
