Ilorin— Ahead of preparations for 2011 elections, fear has gripped political office holders in Kwara State following the sudden suspension of the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Alhaji Ganiyu Cook Olododo and two Special Assistants from office by Governor Bukola Saraki.

He explained that the officers were only asked to step aside to enable government investigate some allegations levelled at them.

Informed sources within government circles confided in Vanguard  that the alleged offence of the suspended political office holders bordered on insubordination.

Vanguard further gathered that a high-powered government investigation team has been put in place to get to the roots of the matter and make appropriate recommendations.

The source expressed the resolve of the government to apply appropriate punitive measures on the suspended officers if found guilty at the end of the investigations.

It was also learnt that the suspended officers would be left off the hook and allowed to return to their offices if the allegations were found to be untrue.
