THE Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos and the Archbishop, Anthony Cardinal Okogie, has congratulated Governor Peter Obi on his re-election as the governor of Anambra State.
While commending the election as peaceful, free and fair, OkogieÂ said the return of Obi to the onerous duty of governing AnambraÂ was an act of God. â€œWith God on your side, we are aware of your ability to get things going the best way possibleâ€, the bishop said in a statement. He assured the governor of the prayers of Godâ€™s people on his quest to deliver democracy dividends to the people.
In a related development, the Catholic Diocese of Ogoja and the Bishop, Most ReverendÂ John E. Ayah, hasÂ commended Obi on hisÂ achievements, saying that the governorâ€™sÂ record and dedication to the progress of the state ensured his triumph at the poll.
Expressing the hope that the state would attain an admirable height with the governorâ€™s second coming, he urgedÂ Obi not to lose focus.
