ALHAJI Umar Munir, who inÂ Â 1990 joined the services of defunct Â Â Â National Provident Fund, NPF, has been appointed Acting Managing Director, Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund, NSITF, by the Acting President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.
He replaced Chief Joe Enuora Okolie, the former Managing Director, who has been on suspension since September 2009.
The new NSITFâ€™s henchman whose appointment took effect from December 2009, is said to have once served as Special Assistant to the former Hon. Minister of Employment, Labour and Productivity in 1988, under the General Ibrahim Badamosi Babaginda government.
HeÂ joined the services of the erstwhile National Provident Fund, NPF,Â as Deputy Director, on 1st October 1990 after servicing as the Secretary Technical Committee on Privatisation and Commercialisation, TCPC,Â Implementation Committee for the Commercialisation of the NPF.Â Alhaji Munir has maintained a steady rise in his career aspirations in the services of the NSIT.
He was at one time AGM Administration (1991), Zonal Manager, Maiduguri Zonal Office (1992_1993), AGM Lagos Island (1993_1995), General Manager Administration (1996_2000), General Manager Compliance (2001_2003), Head Administration (2004_2005), Executive Director Administration (2005_2009) and now Acting Managing Director/Chief Executive.
