Lars Lagerback, the Eagles’ new Technical Adviser has been granted the permission to visit his family in Sweden. He is expected back in the country next week.
Bolaji Ojo-Oba, the general secretary of Nigeria Football Federation, said yesterday that the time was too short for Lagerback to travel home soon after the interview last Thursday to prepare fully for the job.
“After the interview that eventually fetched him the Super Eagles job, the time was too short for him to travel home to see his family and adequately prepare for the job. It is necessary he visits his family and also prepare himself for the job.
“We are expecting him back here next week, and he would attend coaches’ seminar where he would be a participant and a resource personâ€, said Bolaji Ojo-Oba as he stated that the seminar is scheduled for March 10 to 12 in Abuja.
