Kaduna seeks private sector partnership for devt

KADUNA — THE Kaduna State government has called on operators in the private sector to come and partner with the state in its developmental efforts.

Making the call in Kaduna at the Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, day at the just concluded Kaduna International Trade Fair, Governor  Namadi Sambo, said there were lots of untapped potentials in the state and assured that the government would ensure that the right investment environment was created.

The governor who was represented by his deputy, Mr. Patrick Yakowa, said the 11-point agenda of the state government, with emphasis on security, would go a long way to make the state conducive for investment.

Said he: “We want to call on people to come and collaborate with us. We are building an entirely new city, the Kaduna millillium city, it is not too far away from here.

“DG NIMASA and your men, please help to sell, to tell people about these efforts that are being made and let them come and join hands with us in order to transform Kaduna and make it not only the most peaceful state in the country but the most developed. That is our objective.

“And we believe that with people like you, you will be able to assist us to achieve our objective.”
