Asaba College to commence NOUN programme

ASABA—PROVOST of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Asaba, Dr. Gabriel Iloh, has said arrangements had been completed to commence  National Open University education in the college.

He also promised to maintain the academic standards which the college had earned since its inception in 1987.

Speaking at the matriculation ceremony of 1,424 students in National Certificate in Education, NCE, Post-Graduate Diploma in Education,  PGDE, and Part-time programme for 2009/2010 academic session in Asaba, weekend, the provost said the college had also commenced the process of upgrading the school to a degree awarding institution.

According to him, “it will interest you to know that the processes of affiliating the college to the University of Benin for degree programmes as well as commencement of the National Open University education in the college have reached implementation stage.”

He said the college had produced about 20,000 technical/vocational graduates with NCE certificates

“Our team of experienced and dedicated staff have left no stone unturned in ensuring that our products are of the best.”
