Veterinary institute assures on quality vaccines

Jos—The National Veterinary Research Institute, NVRI, Vom, Plateau State has pledged its commitment to the production of quality vaccines for the control of livestock diseases in the country.

Executive Director of the institute, Dr. Lami Lombin gave the assurance on Monday at the opening of a three-month course in diagnostic pathology for veterinary officers organized in conjunction with the Nigerian College of Veterinary Surgeons.

Represented by a director at the institute, Dr. Adesoji  Makinde, she said the institute had since its establishment striven to live up to its mandate of ensuring quality control in the production of vaccines.

She advised the participants to make good use of the training opportunity as well as learn from the experience of older veterinarians as a way of maintaining standard in the profession.
