UNN moves to boost water supply

Nsukka—Professor  Malachy Okwueze, Dean, Students Affairs of UNN, has said that the university had concluded arrangement to provide 4,000 capacity water tank in each hostel to ensure uninterrupted supply.

Okwueze told newsmen yesterday in Nsukka that the measure was to address the  difficulties faced by students on campus whenever the generating set that pumped water to the hostels break down.

“The tank will help provide water to students whenever the generator has problem pending when we the  fault is rectified. For some days because of the break down of the water pumping generator, we were using water tanks to supply water to students. They had complained of difficulties in getting water because before now they fetched water from their hostels without coming downstairs.”

He said that the VC, Professor Barth Okolo was committed to ensuring that students were provided with the enabling environment to help them achieve academic excellence.
