Soludo accuses INEC of rigging

AWKA—DEFEATED Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate in last Saturday’s election in Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, yesterday, accused the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC of orchestrating the rigging of the election in favour of Governor Peter Obi of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.

On her part, the Progressive Peoples Alliance, PPA, candidate, Mrs. Uche Ekwunife, described the election as a fraud but promised not to challenge it in court.

Although he dismissed the outcome of the election which gave Obi victory as “ominous and administrative rigging,” Soludo in a rare display of political maturity, congratulated Governor Obi for his victory in the election and assured him of his support.

Addressing newsmen in Awka, yesterday, Soludo accused INEC of being an interested party in the alleged conspiracy to “stop Soludo and return Obi.”
