Saraki seeks partnership with Akanbi Foundation

ILORIN — Governor Bukola Saraki of Kwara State has called for partnership between the state government and Mustapha Akanbi Foundation, MAF, to enable the foundation reach out to more people in the state.

Gov. Saraki made the call in his office at the Government House, Ilorin while receiving a delegation of the foundation, led by its Chairman, Justice Mustapha Akanbi, CFR (rtd).

The partnership, the Governor noted, would further assist MAF to reach out to more people in the implementation of its programmes with a view to positively imparting on the people of the state.

He described the retired jurist as a good pride for the state and the country while in the public service, saying he had contributed immensely to the growth and development of the society.

Saraki, who congratulated Akanbi for his initiative to establish the foundation to assist the less privileged, also praised him for providing leadership by example.

He assured him of adequate support from the state government to enable the foundation carry out most of its activities and equally realise the objectives for which it was established.

Earlier, Akanbi had told Gov. Saraki that he was at the Government House to express his appreciation to him for his personal presence at the launch of MAF secretariat and his continuous support to the foundation since then.

“If you don’t thank a person who has done you good, definitely you cannot sufficiently thank the Almighty Allah (S.W.A),”  Akanbi said.
