Release our son, family begs kidnappers

By Emma Amaize
WARRI—THE family of Mr. Ochuko Ogude, an indigene of Idjerhe Kingdom in Delta State, who was kidnapped by gunmen on 21 January at Sapele, yesterday, appealed to the  kidnappers to release him.

His father, Chief J. I. Ogude, who is the Unugbrogodo of Idjerhe Kingdom, said his son had not spoken to the family since he was abducted.

He urged those holding his son hostage to open negotiation with the family.

Ochuko Ogude, according to a police extract from the Sapele Police Station, was reportedly kidnapped at about 2100 hours at Ugberikoko Road, Sapele, by  a gang of armed men,  numbering four, using an unmarked vehicle.

They ambushed him in his black SUV vehicle with registration number, BR 444 AKD and forced him into their waiting vehicle and drove him away to an unknown destination.

Though the said SUV had been recovered in Benin City, Edo State and taken to the Sapele Police station where it is now kept, Ochuko has not been sighted since then.
