The Nigeria Premier League, NPL has promised to lift the standard of the Nigerian Premier League and  plug the loop-holes this season.
Chairman of the NPL security, Joe Amene said that the standard of the league has risen and Nigerians will soon see the better aspect of the league as it progresses this season.
“We are already seeing the excitement in our Premier League and there will be more compared with the previous editions. We have worked so hard to get the league up to this level and the more the the years go by, the NPL league will be more organised.
“You can see the joy in the league and it shows the level we are going and people are talking about the Nigerian league.”
Amene revealed that the NPL board has put every thing in place in terms of security and would not tolerate any act of indisicipline from any club.
“We will not tolerate any misbehaviour in the league and any club that wants to use its supporters to intimidate away teams will be dealt with . It is so far so good, there is no report of any act of holigalism”.
The one-time Udoji football club board member said the absence of a Nigerian club at the just concluded World Club Cup at Abu Dabi in United Arab Emirates,U.A.E was painful but said the NPL would continue to throw its weight behind any Nigerian club representing the country at any intercontinental tourney.
