By Henry Umoru

ABUJA— A former Anambra State governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chuma Nwofor has called on Acting President Goodluck Jonathan to immediately jump start the economy of the Niger Delta States, just as he said with his emergence, it showed all ethnic groups have equal stake in the affairs of Nigeria.

He also called on the Acting President to see through the political reform process by critically looking at the Justice Mohammed Uwais’ electoral reform panel report if Nigeria must have a credible election in 2011.

According to him, “if the Acting President must succeed, there was also the need for him to set up a presidential committee that will oversee already existing committees by President Umaru Yar’Adua, especially  on amnesty.

Speaking with newsmen in Abuja yesterday, Nwofor who was the leader of the 24 aggrieved Anambra PDP members after the selection of Professor Chukwuma Soludo as the party’s candidate, also noted that information on President Yar’Adua’s illness was mismanaged by those he described as his loyalists thereby portraying Yar’Adua in bad faith and as one who does not love Nigeria, adding that the attitude of cohorts was not a good assessment of the person when viewed from the background of his rule of law posture.
