By Dennis Agbo

UMUAHIA— THE Abia State Governor, Chief T. A.Orji has condemned the February14,  murder of Mr Efenji Efenji, former Political Correspondent of the African Independent Television, AIT.

The Governor who spoke through the Commissioner for Information, culture and tourism,  Mr John Nwokocha, described the killing as wicked and satanic and expressed concern over the growing list of unsolved killings in the country.

The Governor said,  “it is sad to note that while the cases before this recent one were yet to be resolved, the  murder of Efenji has added to it and heightens fear over insecurity in our society,” noting that  the  murder of Bayo Ohu, an Assistant Political Editor with The Guardian newspapers in Lagos in September last year is still raising dust.

Governor Orji tasked the police to unmask the killers of Efenji and others before him, adding that by so doing, public confidence in the force would be raised.

While saying that long arm of the law will soon catch up with his killers, the Governor condoled with the family of the late Efenji, Nigeria Union of Journalists and management of AIT.
