Ex-LG boss’ kidnappers demand N50m

Asaba—KIDNAPPERS of a former Chairman of Ndokwa East Local Government Area in Delta State, Mrs. Mary Chidi  are demanding for a ransom of N50 million before setting her free.

State Police Command’s spokesman, Mr. Charles Muka, who confirmed this to Vanguard gave the assurance that there was no cause for alarm as the police were making frantic efforts to arrest the hoolums.

According to him, “the kidnappers are demanding N50m and we are following every available information. We shall soon close up on the hoodlums,” he assured.

Mrs. Chidi, who is presently a member of Waste Management Board  was abducted from her residence in Asaba on Friday morning by a five-man gang, who disguised as sympathizers coming to condole her over the death of her son.
