From the stables of Aboriginal Productions, the production outfit that brought Nigeria’s first-ever Broadway-styled stage musical, Oluronbi: The Musical, is out with another stage drama, Fractures.
Directed by Awoba Bob-Manuel, Fracture, an adaptation of Arthur Miller’s classic A View From The Bridge, is about Idris and Nike, a Nigerian couple who live in the UK with their adopted daughter, Toju, and are struggling to live decent lives over there.
Their mundane and predictable sojourn in the UK was disrupted with the arrival of Dayo and Jide, two illegal immigrants as the couple reluctantly agreed to house them. Jide’s arrival brought to the fore Idris’ sexual attraction to his daughter, Toju, who has fallen in love with Jide.
