WARRI — A MEMBER of Delta State Youth Development Committee, Mr. Julius Oruma, has called on Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan to be wary of elected members House of Representatives and the state House of Assembly warming up to return for a 3rd and 4th term.
He said that such moves can generate into violence as it expose such persons’ inordinate greed and selfishness.
This comes as a group, Ijaw Political Force (IPF), has warned all elected House of Representatives and State House of Assembly members that have served two terms to go back home and allow other persons come on board.
In a statement signed by Comrades Ozobo Austin, president; Job Azosibewei, secretary and Edonyabo K. Murhpy, PRO they maintained that they would go the extra mile to expose the atrocious acts of such greedy fellows to the EFCC and ICPC, stating that they would not hesitate to humiliate them.
They insisted that these crops of representatives have failed woefully in providing the needed infrastructural facilities to the various communities and constituencies they purport to represent as they have only succeeded in enriching their pocket and a few misguided followers.
According to Julius Oruma in his call to Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan when he played host to Niger Delta Elites in Warri, the Governor has greatly taken the state to higher levels within the short span of three years in office and enjoined all Deltans to support his second term bid as he is the only one that can for now move the state forward for the benefit of all.
Mr. Oruma said advised the Governor to be wary of clandestine moves by some representatives to seek a 4th term in office, saying that such moves “were nothing but balderdash and avarice capable of truncating the peace in the state and should therefore be condemned by all and sundry.
