FIFA and CAF Executive member, Dr. Amos Adamu, visited the Nigerian team at the weekend and delivered the message of sports minister Sani Ndanusa to the team.

“The Honourable minister has asked me to tell you people to remain focused, determined and go on to win the remaining matches, saying that the whole country was behind you,” Adamu was quoted by team spokesman Idah Peterside as telling the team.

He said that the minister informed the team not to panic over rumours of possible sack of any official or player, saying that “winning matches should be their preoccupation now.”
