Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has described Late First Lady, Maryam Babangida as a woman of vision who had a target and actualized her dreams.

Speaking with newsmen at the residence of former military president, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, the former president said late Maryam was much more concerned on how to better the life of the people.

“She had a programme well conceived and well prosecuted and meant to touch the lives of the people and she did”, Chief Obasanjo remarked.

Obasanjo described her as a woman of family which was practically seen in the ways she handled her immediate and the extended family.

He said now that she is no more, “her role in the community she lived will be very difficult to fill and our prayer is that her soul rest in perfect peace”.
