Lawmaker lauds Uduaghan over CBN award

UGHELLI—The member representing Udu/Ughelli Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Olorogun Solomon Ahwinahwi, has lauded Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan over his recent award by the Central Bank of Nigeria as the best in support for micro-finance ventures in the country.

Ahwinahwi, at a ceremony in Ughelli, said the award justified to the world that the praises on Uduaghan’s administration by Deltans were not merely for political reasons .

He said, the progress being made by those running the Delta State Micro-Credit Scheme motivated Uduaghan to further help the poor, noting that if widely accepted, the micro finance initiative was capable of solving the Niger Delta problems, as causes of anger would have been addressed through it.

He reiterated that micro- financing could be a solution to Niger Delta problems, since it could provide sustainable economic growth to improve lives, adding that economic growth reduced hunger, which in turn would wipe out anger, as it was the root of the crises in the Niger Delta. region.

Ahwinahwi advised Deltans to always support the present administration in Delta led by Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan and his deputy Prof. Amos Utuama (SAN), promising that more good things would come to them in the second term of Uduaghan.
