Abuja—The President of the Senate, Senator David Mark, has expressed hope that 2010 would be a turning point in the nation’s crave for enduring socio-economic stability under a virile political space.

Senator Mark in his New Year message to Nigerians nevertheless affirmed that the nation’s destiny remained largely in the hands of fellow citizens who he charged to rise above present constraints to achieve the dreams of the founding fathers.

Mark, in the message issued on his behalf by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Paul Mumeh, affirmed that next month’s gubernatorial election in Anambra State would be a watershed in the conduct of elections in the country.

He noted that 2010, which marks the golden jubilee of the nation, will herald a new phase in her developmental strides.
