UGHELLI—WARD chairmen of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) across the country have been advised to reach out to all party members in their wards in the ongoing revalidation of party membership.
PDP Chairman in Ughelli North local government area of Delta State, Chief Alfred Onavwa, gave the advice during an enlarged executive meeting of the party.
He charged party faithfuls to be steadfast and committed to the goals of the party.
Onavwa disclosed that his executive had, on several occasions, received numerous decampees from other political parties into the PDP family, specifically in Orogun and Ogor wards, adding that the party was ready to accommodate any one that was ready to join it in the area.
According to him, the PDP is the only party determined to impact positively on the lives of the people in the area.
He urged them to take advantage of the ongoing revalidation of party membership to identify with the party.
Commending the state governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, for his development initiatives in the state, Onavwa told Deltans to continue in their support for the state government.
Onavwa thanked the state governor for appointing some indigenes of Ughelli North into his cabinet and expressed the readiness of the party executive to work in harmony with leaders of the party in the council area.
