Lagos, Abuja agog for Busta Rhymes, Ludacris, D’banj others

Busta Rhymes and Ludacris, the two international artistes featuring in this year’s edition of the popular Star Mega Jam holding in Lagos and Abuja next week on arrival in Lagos mid week  week,promised music fans undiluted entertainment.

Christopher Brian Bridges, better known as Ludacris, arrived on Wednesday 9th with his entire crew while Trevor Tahiem Smith Jr. better known as Busta Rhymes arrived in the country on Thursday 10th.


Both artistes who were bubbling with obvious enthusiasm told journalists that they were in Nigeria to make the citizens happy.

“We promise our fans undiluted entertainment and non stop fun,” the said.
The duo and their team later paid  courtesy call on the management of Nigerian Breweries and thereafter met with the media in Lagos.

Ludacris is the highest –selling southern hip_hop solo artiste of all time with over 24 million records sold worldwide, 16 Grammy nominations, out of which he has won 6.

Busta Rhymes, is one of hip_hop’s most enduring iconic figures and acknowledged among rap’s greatest lyricists and performers. It’s the tenth edition of the annual international music concert and Star, the nation’s number one lager had promised and lived up to her promise to make this concert a memorable one for music lovers nationwide.

The two international stars would be joined on the star mega jam stage by some of Nigeria’s music rave moment. Among these are Nigeria’s biggest twin singing sensation P_Square, D’Banj, Faze, Timaya, and 9ice to thrill music lovers at the concert holding at Lagos Polo Club on December 11 and Old Parade Ground, Abuja on December 12th,2009.

The list of stars also included past Star Quest winners KC Presh, Diamonds and The Pulse as well as hot debutants Wande Coal, Bracket and M. I. As usual with all Star concerts, the brand has promised the best in terms of security.

As part of the security arrangement, the concert area and the entire street stretch would be fully lit and professional secured while close circuit cameras would be planted at strategic positions. Entry into these concerts has been made very easy.

The gate fee for the Lagos and Abuja shows is put at 500 Naira. According to Sampson Oloche, Senior Brand Manager, Star, “Star Mega Jam has come to stay as the biggest and brightest music event in Nigeria and the brand intends to keep it so as one of the ways of thanking millions of consumers out there who continue to Keep Star the number one beer in Nigeria”.
