Deputy speaker, Nafada loses daughter

ABUJA—Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Honourable Usman Bayero Nafada has lost a daughter, Aishatu Usman Bayero.

Seven years old Aishatu died in the evening of Tuesday after a brief illness at her father’s residence in Abuja and has been buried at the Muslim Cemetery in Gudu according to Islamic rites.

Among dignitaries who paid condolence visit on the Deputy Speaker were the Senate President, David Mark, Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, Speaker, Dimeji Bankole Governor Danjuma Goje of Gombe State and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Alhaji Yayale Ahmed.

Others who also visited were Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim, the Chief of Army Staff, General A.B Dambazzau, Minister of State for Education,  Hajia Aishatu Dukku and Director General of MDG, Hajia Amina Az-Zubbair.
