UGHELLI—THE United Deltan Forum (UDF) has described as a huge benefit to Delta State, Federal Government’s granting of an Export Processing Zone license to Koko Port.

The group also commended Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State for the massive development of the state.
The group, in a statement signed by its National Chairman, Mr. Vincent Uwagbofor and others, said the license would not have been possible without the dogged determination of Governor Uduaghan.

According to the group, the licensing of Koko Port will create more jobs for the teeming unemployed youths in the state.

It also commended the governor for his spirited effort towards the completion of the International Airport Project in Asaba, the dualization of Ughelli-Asaba Road, the dualization of the road in Jesse town, market and stadium construction in Sapele and expressed hopes that the projects would be completed in record time.

The group added that the state’s  micro-credit programme and urban city taxi and bus schemes have been helpful to many families in the state.

It said:  “We are happy with what Governor Uduaghan is doing, how he is piloting the affairs of Delta State. Indeed he is a man of vision with a foresight into the future.

“What we are seeing in Delta is unprecedented. Delta is one of the first to introduce free maternal health care service..
“Delta pays NECO and WAEC fees for graduating students of secondary schools; Delta maintains multi-campus in universities, polytechnics and colleges of education and most of all, Delta is serious about developing.”

The group stated that it would work with other groups in the state to give all necessary support to help the governor succeed.
