Police arrest three kidnappers in Ogun

ABEOKUTA – MEN of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested three persons in connection with an alleged kidnap of a 16 year-old boy, identified as Master Opeyemi Olabode.

Opeyemi was said to have been lured by his alleged kidnappers from his parent’s house in Ogijo town, Sagamu Local Area of the State, to Abeokuta for three days.

Narrating his ordeal, Opeyemi said he met the suspects through electronic chat introduced by a telecommunication company.

The suspects, Tunde Ayoola (22), Olayemi Olaitan (21) and Omowunmi Adepoju (20) were among the 30 people arrested for different offences by the command.

The suspects, it was gathered demanded a ransom of N5 million from the father of Opeyemi, Mr.Olugbenga Olabode
“I met the three people (Omowunmi, Tunde and Olayemi) through the chat forum. I was asked to pick a friend and I picked Sharon (Omowunmi). She told me that she was an orphan and I should send her a voucher to enable her take care of certain financial commitments.

“I obliged and we started talking. In the course of our discussion she promised to give me a pleasant surprise and when I asked what the surprise would be, she responded by saying she would give me a full dose of sex. Sharon told me to start calling her mummy, while she in turn would start calling me daddy.

“In the course of our discussion, the three of them asked me to send my father’s ATM card and the number on it. When I refused, they threatened to deal with me, saying somebody has asked them to kill me.

“To cut the story short, I found myself in Abeokuta and we met face- to-face. They maltreated me and even sprayed a chemical on me and that was it.”
