PDP scores Abia govt low

By  Anayo Okoli

Umuahia—The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State has accused the government of Peoples Progressive Alliance (PPA) of non-performance.

Consequently, the party vowed to wrest power from the PPA come 2011 gubernatorial election in the state.

State chairman of the PDP, Chief Ndidi Okereke, who passed this verdict while interacting with journalists in the party’s office, noted that the “PDP is working hard to salvage Abia State”.

Okereke regretted that Abia State Government could not effect palliative repairs on  Okigwe-Umuahia road which, according to it, has almost totally collapsed.

He said:  “PPA government is not doing well. Please go to our neighbours, go to Enugu, go to Imo, go to Ebonyi. What are they doing with the allocation to the state?

“Insecurity is unbearable. The latest rumour is that they are calling on kidnappers for a round table.
