Nigerians will benefit from DSTV Access — Hundah

MULTICHOICE, Nigeria’s leading premium pay-TV providers, has formally launched DStv Access adding to its existing premium, compact and family bouquets. DStv Access comes with 27 world-class channels at only N1,500 monthly subscription. It is expected to provide access to many Nigerians wishing to watch high quality television programmes.
Describing the launch, which held at the weekend in Lagos, as momentous, Joseph Hundah, managing director, MultiChoice Nigeria, said: “

The launch of DStv Access is a dream come true. It has been our plan to make DStv accessible to every Nigerian. Efforts at achieving this have included the opening of branches and inauguration of superdealers across the country; introduction of bouquets that everyone can afford and the sustenance of premium quality programmes on our platform.” He added that DStv Access has a total of 27 excellent music, sport, local, entertainment etc. channels for only N1,500.

In his speech, Donald Etim, head of marketing, MultiChoice Nigeria, said, “DStv Acess is the official minimum way to get onto the DStv platform. We got feedback from Nigerians on the need for affordable bouquets. This has led to the introduction of first, the DStv Compact, followed by the DStv Family, and now, the DStv Access priced at an all-time low subscription rate of N1,500 per month.”

One of MultiChoice superdealers at the event, Abdulkarim Sarumi, of Tard Engineering, urged Nigerians to take advantage of the latest bouquet and enjoy the magic world of pay-TV. He said that the superdealers shall ensure that subscribers’ interests are taken into consideration, as whatever feedback they get from the market shall be relayed to MultiChoice to achieve premium quality on DStv.

Responding to questions from prospective subscribers to the DStv Access, Hundah said: “MultiChoice has planned to upgrade the new bouquet by adding some more popular channels like AfricaMagic and kids’ channels. Subscribers are free to migrate from their present bouquet to another at any time without any extra charge.”

Hundah encouraged subscribers to expect a downward review of the DStv decoder cost in the months ahead, stressing that the reduction will lower the entry barrier and inspire a lot more people to join the DStv platform. He promised MultiChoice’s unwavering commitment to delivering top quality service to its subscribers on a continuous basis.
