DAMATURU — The ANPP in Yobe State has warned all intending contestants of elective posts to follow due process and abide by the rules and regulations of the party or be ready to face disciplinary measures.
Chairman of the party in Yobe State, Alhaji Sani Inuwa Nguru gave the warning at the meeting of local government party chairmen across the state, held at the ANPP state headquarters in Damaturu, yesterday.
According to the chairman, “I have seen posters of party members seeking to contest election without following the due process. Henceforth, any politician that does not comply with the party’s rules and regulations will stand to lose his chance of contesting election.â€
Nguru said the issue was a serious one, hence the party had to convene a meeting of party chairmen at the local governments and wards levels to emphasise it.
