As famous award-winning arts and culture magazine Guernica celebrates five years of its existence, the magazine in a statement said it will honour slain Nigerian writer and environmentalist, Ken Saro Wiwa.

The magazine, for its essays, interviews, fiction, art, & poetry also says Nigerian novelist,  Chinua Achebe, will sign books for the audience at the tomorrow, Wednesday, October 28 celebrations.

The Saro-Wiwa award will be accepted by Wendell Potter, and Zina Saro-Wiwa.  Zina Saro-Wiwa, a BBC, presenter , writer & film-maker and daughter of the late Nigerian writer and activist Ken Saro-Wiwa, moved to Surrey in Britain at the age of one.

A journalist, since the age of 16, she has written for national newspapers and magazines and has published two short stories.
