According to Lawal, despite the Eagles position in the group, he believes that a win today and another victory against Kenya will give Nigeria the World Cup ticket. His optimism is based on the fact that Tunisia will slip and thus hand Nigeria the ticket. “I am confident that we will defeat Mozambique and I have this believe that we will qualify for the World Cup”, Lawal said.

Galadima, on his part called on Nigerians to pray for the Eagles, stressing that all hope is not lost. “We need to beat Mozambique in Abuja and I am confident that we can do that. But we all need to pray for the team. The task ahead is tough and they need our support and prayers”, he said.
