G8 hails PDP’s directive to chieftains on wards

By Festus Ahon
UGHELLI—THE Leader of G8 in Ika North East local government area of Delta State, Chief Peter Eboh, has said the recent directive by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership in the state for party chieftains to take care of their various wards would stem the tide of politics of intrusion and rancour within the PDP fold.

Eboh, who spoke to newsmen yesterday, said such decision was both timely and apt in view of the attitude of some self-serving leaders in politics.

He commended the chairman of the PDP in the state, Chief Peter Nwaoboshi, for his exemplary leadership style which, according to him, has restored unity and integrity of the party.

Eboh urged the party leadership to ensure its compliance in order to reduce bickering and acrimony that had attended past elections.

Meanwhile, Chief Eboh has restated the group’s determination to ensure the realization of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan’s second tenure come 2011.

He noted that Delta North PDP, having resolved to back the governor wholesale, the G8 is leaving no stone unturned, particularly in the area of mobilization, to ensure that it came to reality.

Eboh also commended the governor for his developmental strides in the last two years and four months, saying if given another tenure, Governor Uduaghan would turn Delta into an economic hub of the nation, in view of his vision and efforts made so far.

He called on all Deltans, both home and in the Diaspora, to continue to give the governor total support in his quest to move the state to an enviable height for the benefit of all.
