The former  Eagles defender told Sunday Vanguard  that the Eagles deserve to be at the World Cup, despite the uninspired and unimpressive  p

erformance of the team.  He assured that the players will lift  their game when they qualify for the World Cup.

“Undoubtedly, to be in the  the World Cup is never easy if you ask me. There are so many countries  fighting hard to be in the competition.  Our own case is not a new thing.

“I believe when they  qualify, there will be an  adjustment in their game. Remember the game against  France you could see how the players lifted their game and defeated them. So in this case, I know there will be a  transformation when they  qualify,”Iroha assured.
However,  he described the World Cup qualifier against Mamba of Mozambique as difficult.  Adding that football has changed globally because there are no longer minnows in world football
