ABUJA – A group under the aegis, Soludo-Anosike Solidarity Group (SASOG), has described those alleging that the flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Anambra State governorship, Professor Chukwuma Soludo made attempts to bribe them as detractors.
According to the group, there was the need for them to come up with proof to substantiate the allegations raised if any or hence, they should “rather shut upâ€.
In a statement by its National Coordinator, Chief Dan Eze, the group which noted that the Soludo-Anosike’s ticket was most assured to deliver the state for the PDP, said, “the Soludo-Anosike ticket is certainly a dream one; considering the capabilities, experience and sagacity of both men, there is no way the PDP can not clinch the governorship of Anambra State in 2010.
“That is why we want all those who are alleging that Professor Soludo bribed them to come out with proof, and stop trying to spoil the man’s hard earned integrity and respect in the minds of reasonable people.
“In particular is the case of one Chuma Nwaofor, who claimed he was bribed with N35 million. We want him and his cohorts to come out with proof or evidence, or else they should desist from impugning the integrity of our candidate.
“We note that Prof. Soludo has only given exceptional and accountable service to the country in all his appointments, as has been recognized even by President Umaru Yar’Adua, and several credible global institutions.
