NO State Government has proposed to set up a Petroleum Engineering and Technical Training Committee to support Lake Chad Basin Oil Exploration Project.

The committee will be saddled with the responsibility of selecting and training Borno indigenes for special and specific studies and training in institutions of higher learning and professional institutions within and outside the country under the full sponsorship of the Borno State Government.

This is to enable the lucky students acquire more knowledge or technical know-how on oil and gas engineering.Borno State Governor, Ali Modu Sheriff disclosed this, yesterday, when executive members of Borno North Elders Consultative Forum  paid him a courtesy call.
