Bauchi approves 20 sole administrators for councils

BAUCHI — THE   Bauchi State government has approved the appointment of 20 local government sole administrators to run the affairs of the councils in the state.

The action followed the recent suspension of the chairmen, their deputies and secretaries of the 20 council areas   of the state by the state House of Assembly.

According to a statement signed by Secretary to the State Government, Ahmed Ibrahim Dandija, “It has become necessary for the government to fill the vacuum created by the development pending the conclusion of investigations by the House, especially considering the importance of  the third tier as well as bring the government closer to the people at the grassroots.”
