UGHELLIâ€”CHAIRMAN of the Action Congress (AC), in Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State, Chief Stanley Etareri Kess Onosigho, has expressed the readiness ofÂ AC to slug it out with the PDP in the September 26, council chairmanship election in the council area.
Onosigho stated this yesterday while chatting with newsmen in Ughelli, Delta State.
According to him, the party was already shopping for a good candidate that would be able to defeat the PDP in a free and fair contest.
He held that the party membership in the area were committed to ensuring that the election was free and fair, devoid of violence.
Onosigho pointed out that AC was the only political party whose manifesto would address the needs and aspirations of the people of the council area.
While enjoining the people not to allow themselves to be used by money bags politicians, he stressed the need for them to take their destiny in their own hands. He added that the political future of their area lies on their votes.
He appealed to the people of the area to shun any form of violence that could truncate the prevailing peace in the area and urged them to go about the election of the candidate of their choice in a peaceful manner.
