Ogidi restates commitment of NDDC to partner stakeholders

UGHELLI—THE com-missioner representing Delta State on the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Mr. Emmanuel Ogidi, has restated the determination of the commission to partner with all stakeholders in its quest to contribute to the develop of the region.

Ogidi, who spoke on Sunday when he played host to executives of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state from Delta South Senatorial District, promised to give the state adequate representation on the Board.

He said the state would get its fair share in the scheme of things in the NDDC Board and urged the youths to drop their arms and embrace peace so as to pave way for the commission and the Federal Government to carry out its development plan for the area.

According to Ogidi, the interest of the state is paramount in his heart, and that it was his desire for both the state and its citizenry to be developed.

Ogidi said he would not forget the party which is his primary constituency, appealing to Deltans to reach him with their needs.

Earlier, the Deputy Chairman of the PDP in Delta South Senatorial District, Mr. Kenneth Efejuku, described Mr. Emmanuel Ogidi as a visionary leader, adding that he (Ogidi) had a good track record when he was chairman of the party in the state.

Efejuku said it was Ogidi that brought politics to the grassroots and said he (Ogidi) was committed to the unity of the party.

He expressed hope that the state would get its due in the NDDC with Mr. Emmanuel Ogidi as commissioner representing the state on the Board of the commission.
