Chief Ebenezer Obey, notable juju maestro, has released an album in honour of the Chairman of Globacom, Dr Mike Adenuga Jr. Obey literally came out of retirement to wax the special album for Dr Adenuga, having shifted from secular music to Christian music and also set up a Christian ministry.
The special album, which is wholly dedicated to the entrepreneur extraordinaire, was Obey’s special way of appreciating the generosity of Dr Adenuga to the larger society.
He expressed happiness that Dr Adenuga uses his money to bring happiness to other people and also to propagate the work of God, adding that he was more than happy to record an album to celebrate Dr Adenuga.
The album bears witness to Obey’s undying mastery of the juju music genre.
Explaining the support he has had from Dr Adenuga over the years, Evangelist Obey said he (Dr Adenuga) “has been there for meâ€. He disclosed that once when Dr Adenuga sent for him, he asked about the progress of his ministry and gladly gave financial support to help him progress the work of the ministry, adding that it was a way of God coming to his aid through people.
He said he had a divine direction to make special appearances for some people and was glad to have made such appearance for Dr Adenuga, especially when his mother, Mama Oyindamola Adenuga passed on.
Obey said his performance at Mama Adenuga’s burial ceremonies was a way of appreciating the invaluable contributions of Dr Adenuga to his ministry calling.
